Double Tap compatibility

Double Tap is an Apple Watch system gesture. bluebell registers it as the primary action only on selected screens where you confirm and continue.

Model and software

Meet both requirements

Condition Requirement
Apple Watch Series 9 or later; Ultra 2 or later; Apple Watch SE 3
watchOS bluebell’s primary-action shortcut for third-party apps requires watchOS 11 or later

bluebell behavior

Where it works

Screen Double Tap action Reason
Countdown completion Restart Starts a new countdown with the duration just used
Flow waiting for the next Loop Start next Loop The same result as tapping the onscreen button
Final Flow completion None Avoids accidentally repeating an entire Flow
Pelvic floor training None The current design does not assign Double Tap

Gesture

Raise your wrist, then tap your fingers twice

  1. Make sure Watch is awake and unlocked.
  2. Stay on a supported bluebell screen.

For example, when a Flow is waiting for the next Loop, wait until the onscreen button becomes available.

  3. Tap the thumb and index finger of your watch hand together twice.

When recognized, the system triggers the current screen’s primary action.

Troubleshooting

The icon shakes or the gesture does nothing

  • Check that Settings → Gestures → Double Tap is enabled.
  • Check that Watch is unlocked and awake, and that the current screen has a primary action.
  • Low Power Mode, Sleep Focus, Theater Mode, and Water Lock may temporarily disable the gesture.
  • Some accessibility gesture settings conflict with Double Tap.
  • In a Flow, wait until the Loop completion cue finishes and the onscreen button is available.

If the gesture icon appears and then shakes side to side, the current screen or app state usually has no available Double Tap action.
